I have an all glass panel in my ship and I always seem to have a difference in opinion as to how much fuel is really onboard. I finally got off my butt and made the calculations to create a gallons/inch of fill chart. This is not a simple as it seems because of the tank ends. Anyway below are the results I came up with and should be more accurate than anything else out there.

To use it What I did was take my ground handling lever and mark it every inch from the bottom up to 13.75″. I then stamped the corresponding # of gallons on each mark on the lever. You could also just make a reference card showing inches vs. gallons. This is really nice for two person training where you are unlikely to fill the tanks every time.

The pertinent columns are the far left “inches” and the last one on the right “Total Gallons”. I have multiplied the single tank volume by 2 so that you don’t have to. Notice that at full it totals to 28 gallons.

Well shoot the formatting screwed up. I will remove the extraneous columns and try again.

Not much better. The inches are the first 1 – 13.85. The gallons go from 0.8 to 28.

    Hope this helps.
